Pet Friendly and Kind Staff. Under new management and they're doing a steady job at renovating the place. Some of the reviews here are pretty harsh. The truth is, this is a budget motel on a main highway and its definitely seen some rough times. But the owners are very kind and diligent to make sure you have a good stay. Water pressure was good, no bed bugs at all, clean bedding, working AC, and I got a pet friendly room which was perfect. There's a great trail out the back too for taking your fur friends on a hike. I'd stay again. I had a good sleep at an ideal rest stop on my trip. Thank you!
The folks that run this inn are the most kind hearted and genuinely good people I have ever encountered on the road. They are the definition of ‘Hospitality Services’. The rooms are the bare minimum but the beds are comfortable, the sheets are clean and the tub is clean enough to bathe in if you need a soak after a long journey. We stayed here during the great blackout of August 2024 and when everything was closed the staff brought freezies for the kids and after seeing I got taken to hospital offered an amazing rate for an extra night and brought cold drinks for everyone. Excited for the restaurant to open and further upgrades but the people running it are top notch. If you’re on the road and ready for a hassle free rest, this is the place. Thank you for everything x
Staying at the Spanish River Inn was a semi-decent experience. The rooms were clean and there were amenities including a TV, microwave, mini fridge, and water warmer for coffee. The AC didn't cool the room very well and the beds were a little uncomfortable, but I slept fine. There was only one restaurant open within 30 minutes during the stay. There are a few places to see the river within 30 minutes. They do require a fee for pets. Overall, a semi-decent experience at this motel.
Rooms are okay. Is under new management and are doing renovations at this spot. Staff were very nice and accommodating to guests. Lots of parking and is pet friendly!! Great spot right on highway. Waterfront nearby and two spots for truck style food. Gas and convince store in area as well. Spot to take dogs for hike behind the motel.
Under new Manager Chantel and Ross are doing an awesome job at fixing this place up. They are hard workers, they have managed to paint and change out the beds, all garbage is gone and roof was repaired. We were very comfortable in our jacuzzi room and had a very good rest, very comfortable beds and quiet in the back rooms. We were not able to try some of Chantal’s cooking but it smelled awesome the soup she was making. They are hoping to have the restaurant operational with in the year, but Chantel does serve food, snacks and a coffee machine is provided in the room with microwave and fridge. We will definitely be returning. Thanks for the wonderful stay stayed 3 nights
Second time staying here. Rooms are clean and comfortable beds. Tv works, air conditioning works to get relief from the heat, no WIFI. The owner does everything so it might take awhile for him to come to the door. Definitely worth it. Pets are welcome to.
My wife and I had to stop here to change our son’s diaper. The owners were very nice and friendly. They gave our son some snacks and even gave him his first Canadian flag. They also gave our dog some treats! We chatted with them for more than 30 minutes. We didn’t stay here, but I can say that the owners are very good people.
Everything was great. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. I had a pleasant stay and would recommend this motel.
